Fabio Mangili was born in September 1968 in San Giovanni Bianco,
a small village in Val Brembana, a few kilometers from Bergamo, Italy.

As a child he showed a great love for Nature and its colors, transmitted to him by his father. After completing his studies in agriculture and driven by the desire and need for independence, he embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure that, 32 years later, led him to establish himself first as an real estate agent and then as a real estate agency. During these years, he achieved a lot of goals, but his creativity remains inactive. In 2007 his son Giulio was born, and, thanks to him, Fabio rediscovered Nature and the creative art of playing. Fabio spends entire days playing with his son with Lego® bricks, he starts again to feel emotions, just like when he was a child. A flurry of ideas and emotions rekindles in him the fire of creativity that has been dormant for years. The Lego® bricks, with their bright colors, become his original color palette, with which he realizes his works, works that become bas-reliefs, sculptures that range spontaneously from minimalism to the neo-pop, to blend in with action painting and then beyond. Fabio is “unaware” of crossing, with his enthusiasm, artistic expressions that marked an era. His knowledge is dictated by the rules of Nature, the world of Art runs parallel, like a track, without any contamination. He moves into the territories of Art as Chance (the protagonist of the Oltre il Giardino movie) moves through life.

In 2014 with the name The Skip (the transition from construction bricks to Lego® bricks)
he composed his first works and exhibited them in his offices.
Over time the number of works grows, as does the interest around them.
